Another Weekend At Home!
This weekend was another chill weekend at home! It was so nice to stay home and hang out! Trey went to work on Friday so he can take this Thursday off.. we're going back down to Jekyll Island for our anniversary! We're so excited to go back! We were productive on Saturday though; we cleaned out our closet! Our closet has been driving me BANANAS for months! I'm so glad we finally got around to it!
I forgot to take an actual before picture, but here it is after all of Trey's clothes were taken out:
Just image those two shelves FULL of unfolded shirts, shorts, pants, etc. and that top hanging rack packed full of Trey's shirts. The other side wasn't much better:
Here's the pile of stuff we got rid of:
SO glad we got rid of so much! Here are the after pictures!
yes, that is an almost empty shelf you see! and room for our clothes to breathe! (and room to add more!)
We had so much more space! These shelves were completely empty until we brought some things in from one of the guest room/office closets, which freed up some more space for my craft supplies!
Look at all of those empty hangers! and that still empty shelf!
Now, I really wish that I had matching baskets/bins for everything on the shelves and matching hangers, but I can deal with working with what I've got for now. Now, one last look:
Ahh... so nice..

Back on the Road
This weekend was pretty busy. We drove to Columbia on Friday morning to have breakfast with our friend Amber before she left for Mexico on a mission trip. After breakfast we headed to Trey's mom's house to visit. Trey's sister Abbie and family were there also, so we just spent the day hanging out and playing with Hunter and Caroline (our niece and nephew). Here are a few pictures:
On Saturday, we met up with some friends for dinner at Copper River Grill (yum). It was nice catching up with them for a little while before heading back to Aiken.
In other news... We got a new dryer!!
our hand-me-down-dryer bit the dust a little while back, so we are very excited to be able to dry our clothes again! And it matches our washer!
Yesterday we went back to the church we've been going to the past couple of weeks. They had a class right before the service for anyone that wanted to learn about the church, so we went to that. We're so excited that we've found a church, and we're getting plugged in there!
After church, Trey headed to Clemson for his first CUTBA board meeting, and I came home and ran a few errands. (Which I can do now, because my jeep is fixed!)

Blast From the Past: May 2009, Part 2
I'm not sure how I ended up with Trey's camera for this trip, but I did.. haha. So here are some pictures from my short trip up to Indiana/Illinois last summer:

A Restful Weekend
After our whirlwind tour of the mid-west, we decided it was time for a relaxing weekend at home. Friday we made another trip out to the Big Mo! This time we had a group of six; Me, Trey, Laura, Neal, Melissa and Peter. It was a lot of fun! We saw Despicable Me and Toy Story 3. They were both really cute! Saturday we just hung out at home; it was so nice to have a day to ourselves at home! For dinner, we tried to recreate our favorite sandwich from Ancheaux's in Clemson (which is now closed... so sad). We did a pretty good job!
Sunday we went back to the church that we went to a few weeks ago. It was the first time we've been in town and able to go since then; we were really excited to go back!
That's pretty much all we've been up to. I'll be posting some of the pictures from our old camera soon! Looking at all the old pictures was definitely a nice trip down memory lane.
Also, I think I fixed the comments so non-members can comment!

Our Tour of the Midwest
This past week, Trey and I were all over place. We left EARLY Wednesday morning for Atlanta; we arrived just in time to grab some breakfast (at chick-fil-a of course) before heading to our gate. By 10 o'clock we were in Dayton, Ohio, where my Dad and sister, Britni, picked us up. From there, we made our way to Cleveland where the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was waiting for us. We spent the afternoon there (they had a lot of neat stuff, but you couldn't take pictures inside :( ..sad ) before heading to Sandusky, Ohio, where we settled into our hotel for the night for some much need sleep.
Thursday morning we were up and ready to spend the day at Cedar Point amusement park! It's such a fun park, and the weather was perfect! After riding every roller coaster we could and more, it was time to leave and head for Chicago where we met up with my stepmom, Renee. Upon arriving in Chicago we collapsed into bed to rest up for the big game in the morning.
Friday, we took a mini tour around the city before heading to Giordono's for some delicious Chicago style pizza. After lunch, it was on to Wrigley Field for the Cubs Game! Sadly, they lost, but it was still a lot of fun. After the game Britni, Trey, and I made the trip to Indiana, while my Dad and Renee headed back to their house.
Friday night we stayed at my Uncle Jeff's house in Warsaw. We slept in Saturday morning before heading to my Grandma Cleo's house to visit with her for little while. My mom was there visiting as well, so it was also nice to see her. My Grandma isn't able to handle a lot of visitors, so we only stayed for a half hour or so. When we left her house, I had to take Trey to one of my favorite places up there, Penguin Point. Besides the fact that I love penguins, they have really good pork tenderlion sandwiches and delicious french fries! After that, we drove to Claypool (about 20 minutes) to visit my Grandma Slone. On the way there Britni and I had to stop by our favorite bakery to get some buttermilk cookies (they might be the best cookies in the world), and a strawberry pie (sooo good). We shared the pie with my grandma, but kept the cookies to ourselves. :) Trey also spotted some homemade BBQ sauce and peach salsa that he had to have, so we got those too. After visiting with my grandma for a while (and eating some delicious pie) we headed to my Dad's house in St. Joseph, Illinois.
Sunday, Renee's Dad came over to celebrate the 4th with us. We had a nice big lunch, and then had a nice relaxing day until it was time to shoot of some fireworks of course. Monday we had another relaxing day just hanging out until it was time for us to head to the Indianapolis airport for our flight back home.
It was a long trip, but we had a lot of fun! Here are the pictures:
